Learning Groovy & Grails with Gr8Ladies & Geekettes

Saturday, the Gr8Ladies and Twin Cities Geekettes organizations presented a Gr8Workshop for women to learn Groovy and Grails technologies. The beginner track, "New to Coding", of this free event sold out within the first 12 hours. It is really exciting and encouraging to see the interest in events like this. This has been the trend with other local events that introduce coding to newbies, such as Coder Dojo TC, Katie Coder Dojo, Rails Bridge MN, Clojure Bridge, and the Twin Cities Geekettes Javascript for New Developers + Intro to Node.js for Server-side Programming.

Both the Gr8Ladies and Twin Cities Geekettes organizations have future plans to offer more workshops like this.
